Last Friday, before our worship practice, we had our usual Bible Study. That day, Teacher Eda effectively facilitated the teaching.

It is very refreshing to be reminded about what spiritual worship. This is what we were reminded about:

That we can only have overflowing hearts of worship if we are born again in the spirit –  that is being yielded to the Holy Spirit who produces true worship. With God cleansing our hearts, we are motivated to know HIM.

First Corinthians 12:3 says, “No one can say, ‘Jesus is Lord’, except by the Holy Spirit.”

Thus, we cannot truly affirm the Lordship of Jesus Christ without the Holy Spirit. And we can only receive the Holy Spirit at the time when we receive Jesus as our Lord and Savior.

Worship comes from a steadfast heart, one that is resolute, determined and focused solely on God. If you think of yourself more and how you want others to look at you as you worship, then you need to stop on your tracks and be right.

We must be repentant. We must be cleansed, purged, purified, having our sins confessed before God. For we can only enter into an intimate communion with our Holy God if our sin is sincerely dealt with. If we don’t, we will have difficulty abandoning ourselves in worship.

We are now about to join together in corporate worship. Let us all take time to ask God to direct His searchlight upon us to expose whatever is in the shadows, asking HIM to cleanse us as we repent. You’ll see the river of worship in this place shall easily occur.

Come, the river is so refreshing! Let’s jump and swim!

In HIM in true worship!!!
